about me

Bloomers, Welcome!

I'm Sarah, the face and creator of Wild Thistle Blooms, proud wife to my lovely husband and mum of four wonderful children.

My days are a delightful chaos of laughter, scraped knees, and bedtime stories. Our home is also a bustling menagerie—our furry friends keep life interesting.

When the world slowed down during the pandemic, I found solace in my garden. What began as a hobby—tending to delicate blooms, coaxing life from soil—soon blossomed into a passion.

My Unexpected Journey to floristry began when COVID forced me to rethink life’s priorities. Amid uncertainty, I took a leap. My garden shed transformed into a tiny studio, I enrolled at college and suddenly, I was a florist and I haven’t looked back since.

I dance through life with ADHD. My mind flits like a butterfly, alighting on ideas, colours, and textures. It’s my superpower—the ability to see beauty in chaos, to arrange wildflowers into poetry. My bouquets aren’t just arrangements; they’re symphonies of petals.

I Love What I Do and I believe that shows in my work. Every wedding, special event, funeral tribute and bouquet I create carries a piece of my heart. Seeing the comfort my flowers provide during times of sadness, the joy my bouquets bring when delivered to an unknowing recipient as a surprise, the love on a bride or grooms face when they see their vision bloom into reality, I know I've found my place in the world.

So welcome to my floral haven. Let’s celebrate life through flowers, one bloom at a time. 🌸🌿✨
